UN DOCUMENTAL DE ESPACIO TANGENTE
 Este es un itinerario documental a través de los testimonios directos de víctimas de la represión franquista en la provincia de Burgos, retaguardia del frente nacional, y de las aportaciones de las asociaciones y personas que trabajan hoy en ese mismo escenario en la recuperación de la memoria histórica. Este documental es el resultado de tres años de acompañamiento de los procesos de localización, exhumación y/o dignificación de fosas repartidas a lo largo y ancho de todo el territorio burgalés, además de la recopilación de testimonios directos de algunos ex-presos políticos que sufrieron encarcelamiento en las prisiones diseminadas por la capital y la provincia de Burgos tras la Guerra Civil. El recorrido permite explorar los lugares donde habita el recuerdo de un lugar que fue y existió hace 76 años. Una ciudad convertida en la “capital de la cruzada nacional” por su temprana adhesión al golpe de estado, una provincia en la que, a partir del 18 de julio de 1936, se desató una operación de exterminio físico y moral de todas aquellas personas consideradas peligrosas por los golpistas y sus cómplices.  This is a documental journey through the direct testimony of the victims of Francoist repression in the province of Burgos, the rearguard of the nationalist movement, and through the contributions of associations and people who today are working in that same scenario on the recovery of the historical memory. This documentary is the result of three years of accompanying the processes of localization, exhumation and/or dignification of the graves distributed throughout the territory of Burgos, as well as the compilation of direct testimony from various ex-political prisoners, incarcerated in the prisons strewn around the capital and the province of Burgos following the Spanish Civil War. 
 The trajectory allows us to explore the places inhabited by the memory of a place that was and that existed 76 years ago. A city converted into the “capital of the national crusade” because of its early support for the coup-de-état, a province on which, from 18th July 1936, an operation of physical and moral extermination was unleashed against all those people considered dangerous by the leaders of the coup and their accomplices. This terrible violence may not be explained, as in other parts of Spain, by a reaction of the army, the church, and the right wing against an intolerable social conflict, or by a response from those same sectors to an attack of the left-wing masses against order or religion, events that in this region never came to pass. 
 Everything appears to suggest that an attempt was made to eradicate and to bury a part of our collective history, killing the people that represented it. Thanks to the tenacity and the effort of many other people, we are now reclaiming the past that was denied us and demand that the stolen words and broken hopes be returned to us.

 Esta violencia terrible no es achacable, como se hace en otros puntos del estado, a una reacción del ejército, la iglesia y las derechas frente a una conflictividad social insoportable, o a una respuesta de estos mismos sectores al ataque de las masas de izquierda contra el orden o la religión, acontecimientos que en esta región nunca llegaron a producirse. Todo parece indicar que lo que se intentó fue erradicar y enterrar una parte de nuestra historia colectiva, eliminando a las personas que la encarnaban. Gracias a la tenacidad y al esfuerzo de muchas otras personas, en nuestros días se reivindica esta historia negada y se exige el regreso de las palabras robadas y de las esperanzas rotas.
